Fast Cars, Danger, Fire, and Knives

I'm back (no surprise there) after a good 3 hours of being gone.

I'm Lindsey. I'm from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. What I mean by that is, I was born in Michigan, have spent more time in Pennsylvania than anywhere (aside from Michigan), and one day I plan to die in Georgia. I like a lot of things, and I hate a lot of things.

Nick, you're sitting here talking about biased views, but then you only look at the bad things Obama has done? What kind of bullshit is that?

He’s done so much good for this country, and yeah, for a couple years things are gonna blow, but things always get worse before they get better. He’s trying to save our health care (which is something that’s needed to be done for YEARS), and yeah, sure he made some campaign promises that he can’t necessarily keep, but he united the country and made everyone actually believe in something, which we really needed after Bush and 9/11. And yeah, people did vote for change even if they didn’t know exactly what they were voting for, but that’s just a sign of how bad things had really gotten. People were desperate for a new direction, and now they have it. Sure, they may not like some of the things they’re getting, and sure, he might make some mistakes, but you have to remember, he’s as much of a human as you or I, with much, much more pressure on his shoulders. People look to him for hope and leadership, and people have put him on this huge pedestal, and do you know how difficult it is to live up to an image like that? He’s doing the best he can, and like I said, he might slip up occasionally, but he’s only human, and he’s just trying to help. I’d like to see you do a better job.

I don’t deny any of those things though.

I also never said anything about Bush being better than Obama. The only thing I’ve been pointing out is the blatant hypocrisy of many Obama supporters.

I can’t say that Obama’s done a bad job because it’s only been a year. I can’t decide if he’s a terrible president or a fantastic president yet because it’s too early. Sure, he’s a great man for attempting to revive his country and he’s definitely great at uniting the nation. However, this alone doesn’t provide results. Once I see the results of his endeavors I will support him.

I judge a person by what they do, not what they attempt to do.

Well are you going to judge on the results three years from now, or twenty years from now? I’m guessing you’ll judge them three years from now, when election time comes around again. Admittedly, I will too, but I really do think that twenty years from now, things will be much, much better than they are right now. Whether you believe it or not, I think America is going to have another revolution, and Obama is just the beginning. If I were you, I would get used to things changing, because I think it’s going to happen a lot more often.
